Today was the third (of four) sessions of the Advent Retreat in Daily Living I’m offering at UST Law School this year. Although it is a busy time in the semester for everyone, it is good to take an hour out of the day to gather as a group.
We began, as always, with the participants sharing in small groups their prayer experience of the past week. We had some good discussion about the material, including one (the excerpt from Michael Himes) that several people took objection to.
I then gave a reflection on this week’s theme: Participants in the Fulfillment of the Prophesy, speaking about the roles of Mary, Joseph and Elizabeth. I then talked about the prayer material for the upcoming week.
